I really wanted to make this story available to you and didn't know how to. Mom to the rescue! What else is new? Of course my proud mama sent me pictures of the the story today, starting on the front page of the local section -- I guess because I will always be a local boy. So, here ya go. Please read it. This is the reason we do this. Click below to see the images and read the story.
I just found out that you have to be a subscriber to Corpus Christi, TX's daily newspaper in order to read their stories. The story they wrote about Zero Platoon is pretty great and the interview they did with a young woman in the Navy who struggles with depression and found a little help from Zero Platoon is enough for all this hard work to be worth it.

Thanks so much to everyone for your support. Officially on the Indiegogo site we reached 82% of our $5000 goal. But with a couple of mail-in donations, I'm rounding that up to 85. This will be a huge help for our summer tour, but the whole process was a big help in getting the Zero Platoon name out. We added Twitter and Facebook followers and gained some YouTube subscribers, and it's all because you shared with your friends, bands we've worked with shared with their friends, and a couple of blogs and media outlets shared with their readers and viewers. A million thanks to everyone!
Please scroll down to see some cool things that came from this campaign. Also, if you weren't able to donate on Indiegogo, you can ALWAYS donate here: http://www.zeroplatoon.com/donate Whoa! Thanks to Episkey over at the Suicide Girls for blogging about what we're doing. Please follow the link and check out the story. Don't worry, this link IS SAFE FOR WORK.

The guys from Driver Friendly sit down for an interview backstage at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY and talk about a new song "Everything Gold," the new record, and even play an acoustic version of "Everything Gold," a Britney Spears cover, and a special Creed cover. Super psyched to be hitting up Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware this weekend. Huge thanks to the amazing folks at the festival who have invited us there as their guests in support of what we're doing. We'll be passing out stickers and spreading the word about Zero Platoon and watching all the great bands bellow. If you don't want to miss the fun, GA and VIP day passes are still available. Check out the lineup below.
Quiet Company lead singer and guitarist Taylor Muse talks about how and why he started playing music and gives a preview of what to expect from their new album. And as a special bonus, watch the full band cover Weezer's "El Scorcho." Click below to watch all four videos. |
